Dr. Jay Joshi is a board-certified anesthesiologist and fellowship-trained interventional spine and pain management physician with national recognition for his clinical expertise, research contributions, and leadership in the field. A widely regarded key opinion leader, he has served on advisory boards, contributed to national CME programs, published extensively, and delivered more than 600 educational presentations. He has also worked internationally with the World Health Organization in Geneva and has been featured across major media outlets.
Accepted into medical school at age 16 through an accelerated BS/MD program, Dr. Joshi completed his internship at Northwestern University and his residency and fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital, one of the country’s leading interventional pain training programs. He has served as Medical Director of Pain Management for a major Chicago hospital while overseeing a busy private practice treating patients with complex and difficult-to-diagnose pain conditions.
Dr. Joshi provides a full range of advanced interventional treatments, including epidural injections, selective nerve root blocks, medial branch injections, radiofrequency ablation, sympathetic blocks, spinal cord stimulation, ketamine infusions, percutaneous discectomy, discography, and stem cell therapy. He is known for his diagnostic precision and ability to help patients who have not achieved relief elsewhere.
A committed researcher and innovator, Dr. Joshi has contributed to multiple nationally and internationally recognized medical advancements, including early work on central sensitization and autologous adipose-derived stem cell therapy. His ongoing efforts focus on improving understanding and treatment of chronic pain.
